UPDATE: On Assignment

Hello wonderful scriptaweekers!

First of all, I apologize for my absence.  I should have updated sooner, but things have just been crazy.  As per the previous update, I took a bit of a hiatus from writing, because my mind just needed a break after completing 52 scripts in 52 weeks!   Oh, the joys of a reboot…   In reflecting on the process, I learned that it really wasn’t the difficulty of writing so many physical pages that inevitably tired me out – it was switching each and every week.  Ha, that or keeping track of hundreds and hundreds of characters!  Yikes.  Nonetheless, I would not have traded the experience in for anything – it taught me how much I could push myself as a writer.

Anyway, on to the point of my post…. as luck would have it, I was approached for a screenwriting assignment, and I have been hard at work!  I am super excited about the project, and I look forward to sharing information about it when the production company is good and ready.

In the meantime, hopefully there’s still plenty of content on the site to enjoy.  If you’ve read every single entry, please email me, because honestly – you deserve a medal!  …and a job as a hollywood reader.

Lastly, in some other exciting news, multiple illustrative projects (comic books & kids books) that I wrote for this site are actually in production, and I cannot wait to show you when they’re all done.  : )

Thank you for sticking with me guys.

Best,

Matt

UPDATE: Next 2 weeks

Hey scriptaweek readers,

I’ve decided to postpone a script submission for a few weeks and take my first break in almost a year and a half, because I’m visiting family and also traveling each of the next two weekends.  If you’re dying to read something, I’m sure you can find something in the 60+ submissions on the site.  : )  If you’ve already read them all – wow, you are awesome!

See you guys in a few weeks.

Best,

Matt
